My Little Pig Pen

I don't know why he's so unhappy that's chocolate all over his face!

Adam's finally home from a weeks long business trip away. It's Sat morning... early in the morning, and all I find myself saying is "Tip Toe", "Whisper", "Hush dada's sleeping". So with my only one alloted cup of coffee in hand I sneak a few minutes with my laptop.
This whole blogging thing is new to me so pardon my apperance I'd love to have all those cool gadgets and pictures I see on everyone elses blogs. I'll get there it took me almost a year to get into Facebook and forget about twitting I'll never do it.
I'm in a very new and unexpected time in my life, a  new journey. Somedays I'm "All Aboard" (as my son would say) and other days I'm stuck at the station trying to read the map, but eventually God hands me my ticket and I get on by faith.
So I hope you enjoy riding with me. And I promise those pictures are coming one of my newest endeavors is figuring out how to use my new fancy shmancy Nikon.
Have a great weekend!

Woa baby!

Well, it seems like time really is flying by and I won't be able to catch up.  My 5 year old is working on her first science project, my toddler is 22 months going on 3 years, and well the baby in my womb may be born sooner than we thought.  We'll know more on Monday, but my hope and trust is first and foremost in the Lord. So this mama has had a pretty long day and well I'm tired.

Lonely nights...

I'm so use to my hubby working late at times, but it's a whole different ball game when you know they're not coming home for another couple of days.  I get a knot in the pit of my stomach  when I have to lock up the house and shut off all the lights.
But then I think about my mother-in-law who lost her husband 10 years ago today, and how she has to do that everynight.
I've been so blessed for the last 9 years to have such a loving, hard working, handsome husband.
Thanks mom for teaching him right!

Playdates and Mealtrains...

These are the 2 newest activities in my life since we've moved to Richmond.  Growing up in NYC I didn't need to go over to a friend's house, Why would you when you've got tons of cousins to play with. So it's a bit a strange concept letting my 5 year old go over to a friend's house after school, but I'm learning to let go, it's a little easier when you're good friends with the parents.  Thanks Miller's.
So that freed me up today to make a meal for not just one but two families.  Another concept that well I wasn't used to.  Grandmas were always cooking for everyone.  But, I love to bless others, I just need to learn to receive it.
Miss you babe!

First night of new blog.

"Gabi, Gio time for bed". Thankfully bedtime around our home is actually taken pretty well. As long as everything is in place, night lights on, bottled water, quiet music playing, sippy cup of milk and most importantly nigh nigh(Gio's blanket),except tonight is a little different because daddy is away on business so mommy's checklist is incomplete. I miss you babe. And so I begin writing my first blog ever through the suggestion of a good friend, Thanks Lacy.
